Causes of Male Infertility and Modern Treatment Methods

Male infertility is a common condition faced by couples trying to conceive. Explore its causes, sperm disorders, and modern treatment methods.

One cycle usually takes 2-3 weeks: ovarian stimulation lasts 8-12 days, followed by egg retrieval and embryo transfer within 3-5 days. The pregnancy test is done 12 days after transfer.

Is IVF painful?

Egg retrieval is performed under light sedation, so no pain is felt. Injections use very fine pen needles, and embryo transfer is a painless procedure that requires no anesthesia.

Do you treat international patients?

Yes. We offer full planning support for patients from abroad: appointments grouped into minimal visits, remote pre-evaluation of your test results, and English-speaking coordination throughout the treatment.

What is the difference between IUI and IVF?

In IUI, prepared sperm are placed into the uterus and fertilization happens inside the body; success is 10-20% per cycle. In IVF, fertilization takes place in the laboratory and a selected embryo is transferred — success rates are significantly higher.

Is there an age limit for IVF?

In Turkey, IVF can be performed up to the age of 45; however, success rates decline notably after 40. We give you a realistic assessment based on your age and ovarian reserve at the free first consultation.
