Prof. Dr. Kubilay Vicdan

Born on 28 November 1964 in Arapgir/Malatya. Graduated from Ankara Halide Edib High School in 1981 and completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1982 and 1988.

Specialisation and Academic Training

Completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ankara Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Hospital (1988-1993), where he also served as specialist and chief resident. Observer at Cheltenham St. Paul’s Maternity Hospital (UK) in 1991. Earned his PhD in Histology and Embryology at Gazi University (1999-2004). Associate Professor in 2001, Professor in 2019.

Professional Experience

Worked as a specialist at Şereflikoçhisar State Hospital (1993-1994), Ankara Sevgi Hospital (1995-1996) and Ankara City Hospital (1997-1999). Observer at the University of Florida (USA, 1996) and Assaf Harofeh Hospital (Israel, 1998) IVF units. Deputy department director at Bayındır Hospital (1999-2002).

Founded the Private Ankara IVF Center in 2002 and has served as its Scientific and Medical Director since 2003. During the ART Training Centre licence period granted in 2009, he contributed for many years to training the next generation of physicians.

Scientific Work

Author of more than 200 papers and presentations — 46 in international journals, 26 at international congresses, 80 in national journals and 65 at national congresses — and 6 books.
