Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çınar

Born in 1979 in Malatya, where he completed his primary and secondary education, he studied medicine at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine between 1998 and 2005.

Specialty and Academic Career

He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital in Ankara (2006-2011), followed by compulsory service at Kars State Hospital (2011-2012). He became Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2024, both conferred by the Interuniversity Board of Türkiye.

Professional Experience

Between 2012 and 2019 he worked in endoscopic surgery and infertility at Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Hospital, one of Türkiye’s most established women’s health teaching hospitals. From 2019 to 2024 he served as a faculty member at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, focusing on infertility, IVF and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Since 2024 he has been seeing patients at Ankara IVF Center.

Clinical Focus Areas

• IVF and Reproductive Endocrinology — ICSI, frozen embryo transfer, PGT, egg and embryo freezing
• Advanced Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery — minimally invasive solutions for fibroids, cysts, endometriosis and adenomyosis
• Endometriosis — diagnosis, medical treatment and advanced laparoscopic surgery
• Menopause Management — hormone therapy (HRT) and bone-health programmes
• Gynecology — routine screening, HPV vaccination, colposcopy, PCOS treatment
• Pregnancy Care — management of normal and high-risk pregnancies

Scientific Work

He is the author of 58 international peer-reviewed publications, together with numerous national papers and congress presentations. He has served as a reviewer for five international journals, including the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research (since 2021) and the Global Journal of Fertility and Research (since 2023). He is a member of ESHRE, ASRM, TJOD, TSRM, the Turkish IVF Centers Association, TÜBİT and UKSEAD.
