Prof. Dr. İsmail Nalbant

Born in 1981 in Tokat, where he completed his primary, secondary and high-school education. He studied medicine at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine in Samsun between 1999 and 2005.

Specialisation and Academic Career

He completed his residency in Urology at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital between 2005 and 2010, and served his military duty as a medical officer at Van Military Hospital in 2011-2012. He became Associate Professor in 2018 and Professor in 2023.

Professional Experience

He worked as a urology specialist at Ankara Yenimahalle State Hospital (2012-2014), Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital (2014-2016) and Ordu State Hospital (2016). Between 2016 and 2019 he served as a faculty member — first as Assistant Professor, then as Associate Professor — in the Department of Urology at Ordu University Training and Research Hospital. From 2019 to 2023 he practised at the Urology Clinic of Private Etlik Lokman Hekim Hospital, and since 2023 he has been a Professor and faculty member at Lokman Hekim University. He has been seeing patients in male infertility and andrology at Ankara IVF Center since 2019.

He has published 34 articles and 2 case reports in international peer-reviewed journals, along with 17 articles and 5 case reports in national peer-reviewed journals. He has presented 6 oral papers at international and 14 at national scientific meetings, and contributed 30 poster presentations. His work has received more than 80 citations in the international literature. He is a member of the Turkish Urological Association, the Society of Urological Surgery, the Endourology Society of Türkiye and IURES.
